The Dilution Of Links
As of late there has existed a bit of chat about Link Dilution and it's good to know . If a sampling of the ideas are right then it's something that a lot of individuals who internet marketers, will consider long and hard and examine a little more in case they elude some of their hard work.
The basic idea around The Dilution Of Links, is centered around having too many out bound links on a page dilutes the value of all the dofollow on the web page and therefor decreases the worth of the links.
Thanks to this hypothesis, many IM'ers, webmasters and site owners are thinking long and hard about how they align their pages.
The simplest thing that springs to mind is the value of resource box links and is a single hyperlink better than 2 outbound links sharing value. It looks like that this is the case, so it may actually be good to only add one hyperlink in a article's resource box to obtain the greatest benefit from that exclusive backlink.
It's worth noting that it shows that frequently the search engines might not record all links on a link infested page, though this may show that site maps couldn't be of use and I don't believe this to be possible.
For me the key development on the idea of Link Dilution is the level of paid back links because it would seem that a paid main page back link could be significantly less valuable if the links on that page increase.
What if you were paying for a Page rank seven link for $200 each month and having the single link on that page, then all of a sudden there popped up 25 extra outbound links next to yours. That could massively devalue your link and it would be be more like the worth of a page rank 2 link, and you are not going to hand out hundreds of dollars each month for that right?
Consequently you'll find it's a personal decision when you think how to use this new found knowledge or even if you believe that Diluted links plays much of a role. What you do next may be very important though?
